Join Aquarimax hosts Rus and Kelly and they discuss Tony in New York’s questions about Yellow Cherry Shrimp, Jaap in the Netherland’s Malawi Tank, finding homes for their bettas, and the long-anticipated-and-hopefully-worth-the-wait “Surface Area Song.”
Here are the lyrics to The Surface Area Song
It is so very crucial in maintaining your aquaria
Providing good bacteria with lots of surface area
The water quality without them would be worse than horrible
From water change to water change in order categorical
They’re very well acquainted with the toxin called ammonia
When your fish excrete it, they soon make themselves at home-ia
Nitrite is their first product, and then nitrate is the Second one
Which aquatic plants can use, as it provides them nitrogen.
So whether you include robust amounts of filter media
Or rely on gravel to give them a place to feed-ia
It is so very crucial in maintaining your aquaria
Providing good bacteria with lots of surface area
